I have wanted an AR15 for a while. I just could not afford to buy a "whole one". A couple months ago I ran across a good deal on a couple Lower Receivers, that I could not pass up.
So here we go. The progress of my AR15 build.
Started with a MEGA "Gator" Lower Receiver & Installed a Rock River Arms Lower Parts Kit.

A couple weeks later I just so happen to run across a matching MEGA Flattop Upper Receiver. I got one with M4 feed ramps cause I could I guess. Installed a Rock River Arms Upper Parts Kit as soon as it arrived.

Well I have been trying to get a CAA Tactical Stock but they are back-ordered everywhere.
So instead I bought a Rock River Arms Charging Handle.

And a Rock River Arms Bolt Carrier & Complete Bolt

Next I found a A2 Detachable Carry Handle, had to get it since it was cheap.

And here is what I have so far. HURRY UP STOCK!!!! And Barrel plus parts.

You washin' yo' hand before you touch any AKs though right? Hate to see a good gun get contaminated.

DAMNNNNNNNNNN...thats one SHORT barrel...can't even see it. J/K...looks sweet. Wish I had skills like that!!! Wish I knew how to take my PA63 down to the frame so I could do the polish job everyone recommends.

yeah wouldn't that be a cool weapon, 1/2" barrel .223 :)

You better believe it!! If you can contaminate an AK?
In a bad situation where my families life was in danger you better believe a AK would be grabbed over a AR any day of the week. I guarantee.
Plus I got no .223 Ammo & over 3000rounds of 7.62 plus tons of AK mags.
Photo of the ones I don't use from a while back. Got quite a few more since then.

Looks good. I'm thinking about building a match upper for my AR. You will love that Rock River two stage match trigger.

I don't think that I got the 2 stage trigger. It came in the LPK I got.
I have to cut costs where I can at the moment to get it functioning.

I want the national match trigger but that costs as much as several of the C&R rifles I still need to add to my collection. Same thing with the Volquartsen trigger group for the 10/22. A trigger or a cool old rifle? The rifles wins for now...lol.

+1. I hear you on that one. I just paid, way to much for a Yugo SKS a while back just because I needed one for the SKS collection & they are about gone.
Sucks to be me I guess.

The Yugo SKS I got for $150 at a gun show started my C&R obsession.

Well after months of waiting & waiting & waiting for the CAA Tactical Stocks to become available somewhere/anywhere. Finally, MidwayUSA sent me a notification on Friday that they finally got some in.
I dunno why I wanted this particular stock when I could have got a regular M4 6 Pos Stock for $10 cheaper but I just like it.
And now a couple of photos.
Left Side.
