DAMN I'm stupid! and stupid hurtsI see a new sticker on the horizon...right under the CRB stickers...lol.

Don't feel bad, I cooked dinner one night, pulled it outta the stove at 450, put it on the counter and my legs gave out and I threw my arms up on the counter to catch myself...put my arm right against the glass dish I jusy pulled out...that hurt a little.

How many of you did this when you first casted? I did and I still do it from time to time. I know they're hot, but they're just so pretty.

What unpleasantly surprised me once was just how long it takes for even a small ingot to cool enough to be handled. Bullets are ok in a couple of minutes; ingots sure aren't.

I dump my ingots into a 5 gallon bucket of water after I flip them out of the mold. The less hot stuff I have sitting around, the better off I am.

Yammer, that's actually pretty smart. I've got plenty of 5 gallon pails sitting around. That's a tip I can use!

If I was closer I would bring my smelting setups down to help you and creekwalker out. Although I have becoming increasingly tired of the nastiness associated with smelting, I enjoy messing with it if I have conversation while I do it.

"I'm stupid, and stupid hurts." is almost as good as
"If plan A is to take multiple rounds to the back ,you need to come up with a better plan."
