I thought you guys might like a review of a handgun I don't think is available to you yet.
I have had my Grand Power K100 Patrol for about three years now. It is a 9x19mm DA/SA action gun a la the CZ75, with a polymer frame. In fact the designer, Jaroslav Kurcina, worked for CZ before striking out on his own.
The most noteworthy feature of this gun is the rotating locking barrel. It utilizes a "roller" mounted across the metal frame insert that the barrel's camming surface rides on.

This gives the gun a mild recoil impulse that is unlike any other 9mm I have fired. It is very soft shooting. Comparing it side by side with my Hi-Power firing ther same load, it recoils noticeably less.
All of the internals are mounted on the metal frame insert. The feed ramp is also incorporated into the insert, leaving the barrel to fully support the round.

The barrell uses a single, massive locking lug that locks the barrel very tightly in the slide.

The extractor is a simple bent piece of metal internal to the slide. It is held in place by a spring and plungerand is very easy to remove for thorough cleaning.

The magazines hold 15 rounds as originnaly designed, but 10 rounders are available for those of us not responsible enough for the originals (sense the sarcasm?). CZ75 magazines can be modified to work by drilling a hole in the front of the mag. Then they will function in both guns.

All controls are completely ambidextrous. One knock against it is that the slide stop and safeties are flat (but snag free) and difficult to manipulate. The safety comes off easy, but is hard to engage without shifting your grip. The magazine release works well from either side.

The double action pull is a bit heavy, but smooth (listed at 35N, whatever that works out to) and the single action is also quite good and listed at 25 Sir Isaac's. The reset is a very short 3mm, or just under 1/8". You can get off accurate follow up shots rapidly. For military and LE there is a two round burst version and a full auto version.
All in all an interesting gun with a comfortable grip that fits both large and small hands. It is more accurate than I am, is well made and the unique rotating barrel makes it worth taking a close look at. I sure like mine! There is more info at www.grandpower.eu (http://www.grandpower.eu).
