Nah, thanks though. By the time I pay for shipping to and from, I could just buy one. I can't find one around here. I need some things from Midway...if they ever restock. I might try the evil gun shop down the street.
Tip of a bullet.
My YHM flip up front sight has the detent on the side so the bullet wouldn't work. I used 2 ink pens in a pinch.

How do you do the bullet trick?
Use the tip of the bullet to depress the detent pin, and rotate the sight post.
This is done kinda in one motion.
Sorry, I'm not that good at describing things without illustrating with my hands.

Damn BB. I may actually make the Ames shoot this time.
You gonna make it to the 4H get together?
Steve is in my neck of the woods, kinda.

Not close to Jefferson, but I have been on top of the WCC elevator. I konw that has nothing to do with anything. I'm going to go out tomorrow and zero it. I'll try the tip of a bullet. Once I get it, I shouldn't have to touch it again, correct? Also, how well does a removable handle hold its zero when you remove it?
I'm going to try to make it to some of those shoots. What day are they? If I remember, most were on a Sunday morning, which doesn't work for me. Maybe that was just Boone.

Speaking of zeroing. I'm a huge fan of the Improved battle sight zero
Zero at 50, and be good from 25 and out past 200.

Have you got a buddy that works in a machine shop or has a basic set up at home?

I have used a size D 2 1/2" common nail with great results.

TM calls for use of sight tool or tip of bullet.

Marine Corps gave me the nail 33 years ago, they thought it was good enough.

I used a bullet and staple. The bullet wouldn't turn it all the way around. But its zeroed now. THanks.
get q tip with plastic shaft
cut in half
1 half will fit over sight if you push a little
2nd half depresses the spring plunger
plunger depressed, twirl the other over the post to raise or lower
really crb would use used qtip lol

That is actually a great idea.
I used the tip of a bullet. It didn't work too great. You could get it about 1/2 way turned, but it just wouldn't go any further. So used a staple to nudge it and finished it out with the bullet.
geeze isu - have to watch the open short you got there lol
