I was off base with my 550.

The primer tube was wrong and the primer feeding tube was wrong as well. Once I got those change, I had a single primer feeding issue.

I was able to load 200 rounds in about 40 minutes...pretty good I think.

Thanks guys, once again. You all saved me a lot of headaches and time lost. For real.

Hi,

I've only had my 550 flip a primer one time when I was not being smooth with it, but now on the upstroke I watch the primer slide to make sure it is right before I seat it.

Good luck,

Alan

If it makes you feel any better Callahan..........I too had primer feed problems although not the same solution to the problem as you. It drove me nuts until I got some good info from the guys here. Now my 550b runs like a dream. I don't seem to be able to load as fast as you because I'm still at the stage of watching everything very closely to ensure everything is running correctly....especially Nr 2 station. Last thing I want is a KB I've read about. Slow and careful is the name of the game in my book yet have fun in the process.

Murph...never out grow that stage of watching everything closely. Complacency kills.

Well guys, the 550B is working great and my wife is really really happy with the machine because it saves me money on ammo on one hand, and time in loading on the other. (Now if I could talk her into a new M1A I would be great)

The 550 is a great machine once it is running like it should, that's for sure.

She is hot, and she does have sisters that are identical in looks and single. Did I forget to mention that she makes mean apple pie and loves to shoot?

Koski,

It is funny you say that. She did congradulate me once I got it all figured out.
