Anyone using this powder? Powder valley has it for $77.50 for 8lbs. That's a good price if its any good.

Been seein some rumblins about it at a local shop dat is mostly shotgunners.

Not sure if it is worth a damn in pistols (yet), but da price is right for sure

Have been using PROMO for a couple years now. I go through an 8 pound container every six months.
Its just like RedDot. Good energy, terrific accurcy, low volumes and what a great price too.
PROMO is my standard powder. I use it for 9mm and 40S&W.
About a year-ish ago, Alliant brought out a new keg powder called ClayDot. It is just like Clays. Also a terrific powder. I use it too.
PROMO cost my C$95.00 per 8 pounds or about C$14.00 a pound. A terrific value.

Hey Hatman,

We discussed dat fake Clays Dot stuff a while back but couldn't find any load data for it to use wit pistols.

Got any data we can check out ?

I am buying some Promo on my next order from PV. You use it just like Red Dot same weight charges and the reloading book. Going to use it for 38 special.

Promo really is a good powder. I like ClayDot too.
My super-secret, hush-hush receipes cannot be mentioned here. Someone will steal my thunder and I'm trying to keep the lid on these two fine powders. If the rest of the crowd find out about this, there will be a run on the powder and I'll have to shoot all the other crap the crowd uses.
