View Full Version : Flip Tray - Crazy Thing!

I have two flip trays....1 plastic that's see through and the other a large metal one I got off fleabay. The clear plastic one works like a champ....wiggle the darn thing, flip it over and all the primers are in the correct position for pick up. When I try the heavy black one (think Dillon sells them), I wiggle, circulate, whatever but when I open it up their still all mixed up and difficult to pick the correct ones up. Consequently it stays in the closet. And some wonder why I call myself "Murphy's Law" ! Maybe the darn thing is bent or something. Heck, half the time I can't close to two separate halves because one or more primers is flipped on it's side!

Murph...you can't have the lid on the Dillon flip tray and have the primers flip over. Use the metal one with the lid off. After making sure that all of the primers are turned over, use the lid to "flip" them all over so that you can use your primer pick up tube.

I think your plastic one should be broke too. Mine does'nt work with the lid on.

Murph --
a) Mind reading is not part of the act.
b) My crystal ball is in the shop so I don't expect yours to work either.
Don't feel bad, pard. You've learned something and chances are someone else reading these posts has also!

Don't sweat it. We all learn stuff like that along the way!

My friend doesn't even shake the tray to get the primers all the same side up. He just picks up the ones that are facing the correct way, then puts the cover on, turns the tray over and does the rest.

Hhmmm...that's not a bad idea, I'll have to give that a try.
