I have been using Unique for 38,40 and 45. The 40( 155 gd)- 7gr, and 180 winjhp-6 gr. The groups are pretty good with these out of a Glock 22 and S&W M&P. Does anyone else use this combo- any comments- don't have the new chrono figured out yet....Thanks

I used unique with some of them Mag-Tech golden gaurdian jobbers. They worked well enough and were okay accuracy wise. I switched over to Power Pistol for most SD loads though. Unique is a very flexible powder for autos. I do notice that it can be a pain to clean up if my loads don't have a even burn rate.

I use 5.8 to 6 gr Unique all the time with 180 FMJs. This load is awesome. Anybody using WSF should try it.

Believe it or not, Blue Dot works pretty darn good for 40 loads as well. Loaded some up the other day and was quite impressed at the range how clean, accurate, etc it was. May stick with it for a while......had been using Titegroup prior.

Blue dot is awsome! Just remembered I forgot I have a 5 lbs container of some......or somethin' like that.
I was shootin' some 9mm Blue Dot max loads at the Forest range out by my folk's hut one time and some other folks there asked me if i was shootin' a 357 Sig cuz of the bang and flash. I calmly look at them with my best "Spock" eyebrows and say...."No. Just a 9mm."

I've used Unique in just about every handgun cartridge I've loaded.
I use Unique for my .40 loads, in a couple G23's and a G35.
I had worked up to 6.7 grains for a 155 gr. copper plated bullet, but backed it down to 6.1 grains, which feels like a nice mid-range load.
I like Unique for .40, fills the case nicely and is accurate with this combo for me.
I regularly use Unique in my .45 ACP under a LSWC. I am NOT 70 yrs. old (but hope to get there) and do not mind cleaning my pistol every couple of hundred rnds. Works fine for me.

I'm a wuss compared to you guys- but I am a 'unique' whore. I use the stuff for everything. my data is on the light side though- i shoot em with a 175gr SWC in a g23.
if anyone cares and is over on CastBoolit, i'm starting a group buy for a 150gr TC in 40sw. should drop around .402 if all goes well. it'll be a long time before we have the molds, but the buy is running till may if anyone cares.

I definately would not say you are a wuss for using Unique. My bro-in-law uses it for everything he reloads for also (pistol/shogun), and he has been reloading for 30 years. He does use several different powders for rifle.

I'm a wuss because I use such light charges! if i'm chuggin along at 800 or 900 fps, I'm more than happy :)

I would still not like to get hit with something going 8-900 fps!
