I continue to get requests for these ingot moulds. They appear to be quite popular. When I retired, I lost my daily contact with the feller that was making them for me. With enough interest, it's possible that I could revive them.
Do any of you think that you might have an interest in any? Not looking for a commitment, just an honest opinion.
The moulds produce a ~5 pound~ ingot. They would cost $8 each(same as before) + FRB shipping cost. I can fit 4 of them in a medium FRB and 6(+?) of them in the large FRB.
Thanks.

I'd like to have one or two but am unsure if the ingots would fit in a Lee 10lb bottom pour pot. I usually can line up my one lb ingots around the outer edge around the lifter/spigot thingy.
Anyone have one that can confirm?

They will fit if you only fill the mold around half way. I made some like that out of 3" channel and that's what I did with mine.

I have a couple, well made, perfect size for the 20# pots. It is a tight fit in a 10# unless you make them thin, but they will work.

These are well made guys. I don't need another two, but worth the $8 for sure. Filled half way, they come in about 3# & just fit in a 10# Lee, but make them thinner, about 1.5# & they fit easier. Perfect for the 20# pots.

I wound up keeping 7 of 'em Fred. Those 7 kept Fatdaddy purdy busy. We would melt a pot full a ww's(quickly), and with da bigassed ladle plus 7 big moulds ta pour in...that smelt pot was empty purdy quick. Do over again, and again, and again.......
We gonna try and improve on the next run.

Update...sorry for the lapse in time, but I just heard from my bud this morning. He has no channel iron at this time, but is trying to scrounge some up. He could buy it and raise the price, substantially BTW, or wait til he runs across free. I told him to wait for free. He says he has a couple a good leads. I'll update as I get word.

A lil disappointed. Bubba didn't put me no sliding otherhand piece on da handle shaft. It can be worked around tho. Jamb nut will unthread off and jes a piece of 1/2" pipe can be slid over the handle shaft. The sliding handhold is a must have IMO. I'm a get on his arse next time we talk. :mf_farmer:
A little dubious about this new bottom pour arrangement too. I wasn't expecting that. I took it to the sink and filled it up wit water...worked jes fine.
All in all, they damn sho worth $15....ain't they?

Using the handydandy lead calculator for a cylinder, this ladle will hold 23.57 pounds of lead. That said, filled only half way it will fill up 2+ of these moulds. Smoking. :cheezy:

Moulds are $8 each.
$11 FRB shipping for up to 4 each in a medium FRB.
Don't have a spare large FRB at home to see how many it will hold, but I will know tomorrow.
The ladles are spoken for. Waiting for some confirmations on the moulds.

All of these moulds are spoken for.
If any more of you folks would like to get some, let me know. With enough interest, say 12 or more all together, I'd be glad to do it again. Jes want to make it worth Bubba's time and trouble.
