I am looking for comparisons of micro-9mm pistols.
If you have any suggestions, or links I would appreciate them.

Thanks

Choose a model and there is likely a Kahr vs. Glock comparison on the page.

What kind of capacity are you looking for ?

Check out a Walther PPS. I was going to get one but the ergonomics of the grip and trigger guard didn't feel right. The trigger guard rubbed on the knuckle of my index finger uncomfortably. I would have purchased it otherwise.

I'd hafta say the Ruger SR9C.

It's a lot thinner than a G26, weighs a little less and has higher capacity.

Nice triggers too from what I read.

Slick's post intrigued me to check it out. I found a video review on downrange.tv

My first 9mm was a Ruger. My next one might be as well. This coming from a Glock fanatic.

Just be sure to pass on the full size, trigger sucks.

SR9C is way better.

Another option for a small 9x19 is the Beretta PX-4 Storm

It's polymer, very small frame and holds 13 rounds

That Walther PPS that PM mentioned is one little bity 9mm. I need to go fondle another one, but from what I can remember I really liked it.

When I started this, I was thinking an ultra small, ultra light gun, something I could forget was in my pocket and it needed to be 100% reliable. And I wanted it in 9mm.

I use to own a Jennings 22LR that was this way.

But after spending the day doing some research. I don't think there is such an animal. Since I have a G26, I think I am sticking with it for now.

Kel-tec PF-9 is about the smallest and lightest I have personally seen. Smaller and way lighter than my J-frame snubbie.

That PPS looks interesting if S&W distributes them with a S&W guarantee.

Hope they run better out of the box than the P22.

Yeah, that's it, Slick. It is pretty nice, and while I haven't shot one, I was very impressed with a P99 I have shot some.

Another option is the Taurus PT 709 Slim. I don't much like it but it is pretty small and light. I do really like the feel of that Walther PPS! It is amazingly slim. It is also horrendously expensive though.

Not sure if they are available yet, but Microtech is coming out with some tiny pistols too.

RE: post #11

If you want a 9X19MM pocket pistol then you probably need to look at a Kahr 9MM pocket pistol, they got some pretty small ones, I really like their triggers once their well worn in or slicked up by a Smif.

Hi,

But after spending the day doing some research. I don't think there is such an animal. Since I have a G26, I think I am sticking with it for now.

+1 I am also not a fan of small auto's. The smaller and lighter they get, the less durable they are, and springs wear quickly. Reliability always seems an issue with them.

I think you could find some 9mm autos about the size of a G26, but a bit thinner that might be ok.

The J-frame (642, 442) is smaller but drops you to 5x38spl. It is a solid gun and is reliable.

Good luck,

Alan
