....and had a notice that there was a package waiting for me to pick up at the post office. It finally arrived! :blackdog: S&W model 18. It has a lot of character:

I could live without the gold accents, but I am sure it will shoot just the same with as without! I was really looking for a model 17, but then this one jumped up at the gun show and grabbed me.

I had a model 18 do the same thing to me. Latched on and wouldn't let go. Durn thing followed me home. Private party too. No paperwork. :whistling1: I think there's a pic in the "Show us your revolvers" thread.

Gorgeous old-school Smith! If the stocks are original to the gun, it is a pre-1968 example.
