What has been your experience with the different 357 Sig platforms? I only have one....and it ain't even a "real" model cuz it be a G-35 with a 5" LWD barrel. I've heard that 357 sig will diminish the overall life of a Glock, but I have taken steps to preserve my G-35. Currently have one of them little recoil buffers just ta' see. It's only $8 bucks or so, so what the hell. It hasn't hurt it any with malfunction and such.
How are Sigs holden up?
Doea anybody make a 5" barreled 357 Sig? Slimilar to dating European women...I'm just curious.

I've had my G32 as my primary carry gun for 7 years and have put many thousands of round of 357 sig and even more .40 S&W (drop in factory barrel) though it and haven't seen any more wear than any other glock platform. Does a 357 sig wear out a glock faster than other calibers? Maybe, but I would expect it is a very small percentage difference between the number of rounds it takes and is not enough for me to worry about.

I have a P239, & bbls. for my USP & Colt Delta. The 357sig should be no harder on a pistol than a sim. pressure round like the 40s&w or 10mm. It may even cause slightly less wear & tear as it uses a lighter bullet, slightly less slide force.

I've got a sig SP2340 in 357 sig. I bought it from a friend's dad who shot several cases of ammo thru it. He never had a problem. I had 1 remington round fail to feed. Other than the normal wear and tear, no signs of damage. I've used factory ammo and my own handloads (I like hot loads) and have never had any mechanical problems.

I've been shooting a Sig SP2022 (same as the SP2340) in 357sig. Only issue is the trigger. Even in SA mode, there is more take-up than I prefer. My gunsmith sez it can't be remedied on this model. 187racing, I'd be interested to hear how your SP2340 trigger behaves.

There is a quite a bit of take up in mine as well, but i've kinda gotten used to it. Even after shooting my 1911, I don't have a problem picking it up and shooting. I haven't found anyone that will "fix" it around here. If you hear of anyone that does, i'd be interested in having a little work done to it.

I've put thousands of .357Sig rounds through a G22, G23, and BHP w/the aid of conversion barrels. Haven't encountered any problems as yet and the accuracy has always been excellent+.

I had no idea that I had more than one platform until I read this.
Years ago I put the 40sw barrel back in, throw the 357S barrel back in the box, and out of sight, out of mind.

Thanks.

I can not even imagine how a 357 sig would shorten the life of a glock. If a 10mm has a normal expected service life I can not imagine how a 357 sig would beat it up more than a 10mm.

I plan to convert my G20 to 9x25 dillon. This conversion might cause my glock some stress. But I am not really worried about it. Glocks are tanks.

Ya' know what would be cool? If I could get a 357 Sig barrel from my Kel tec Sub 2000. That would be choice! I wonder how fast them 124 grain Rem hp's would haul ass outta that carbine barrel over a healthy charge of #9 or Power pistol. All that beautiful flash goin' to power that little hot rock. :subgun::coolgleamA::lol:
