I had about an inch of VV N320 in my powder hopper and a box of 500 115 JHP's to load.
I loaded a few (80) at 4.4gr and they shot well. I wanted to tune down the powder charge a bit (3.7gr) to stretch out the powder.... bad idea. Instead of drawing and firing an 18 round course of fire in practice, I ended up stove piping almost the entire first mag. The rounds were really underpowered and the stock spring was a bit stiff for the amount of energy.
I went to my trusty bag of tricks and lubed the M&P 9PRO with a lot of liquid lube. I went and fired the 185 rounds with nary a problem.
The loads were barely cycling the slide. All my buddies kept walking by and just under their breath, calling out..... poof, ....poof, .....poof.
I had a good time shooting, but the teasing was hilarious.
I am glad all rounds fired fine and got rid of the last bit o' powder.
Note to self....don't cheap it out.
Now what to do with the last 220 bullets and about 2 inches of VV N350?
