In a rare moment of generosity, I ordered a set of Redding 308 dies for a good friend. I also ordered a sset for myself as an upgrade from my Lee set. Cleaning up today I found a set I had forgotten I had traded for.

I'd laugh, except I've done the same thing, more than once.
Never hurts to have a spare set just in case you stick one though

SC, you should be able to return the dies and get your $$$ back or sell them here or on ebay.
I like Lee dies just fine in 308. To me RCBS and Lee make the same kinda ammo. I like Dillon dies best so far as I think they run smoother in the press.

after buying a 6th or 7th shell holder(same one, dammit!) I started a logbook for my tooling. Only took about 2 months to get everything logged in & has saved me a lot of aggrivation. It also helps when a reloading bud needs to borrow a die set or something, it gets penciled in "who" & "when".The note then gets erased when the stuff comes back home.
Also helps with setups, lilke changovers for the 1050 with "strange" toolilng.

Probably just keep them for trading down the road. If someone had a set of Redding 30-06 dies.....
if'n they were 243 i'd be interested
