I just picked up a Glock 21SF with the Glock rail and the standard mag release. I have slowly been buying up reloading equipment for the .45 so that I can swap out my turret from 9mm to this new caliber. :sifone::supergrin:

I am really looking forward to shooting it too. Unfortunately time just didn't give way for me to make it to the range today. I just didn't like the feel of the ambi release button between my pointer and index finger. Plus with the LE model I got three mags in the box to go with the two I picked up at the gun show today. Just need to find some bullets to start loading my own now.

I am still debating. So that ambi release bothers your trigger finger? I haven't held it yet, just the standard model.

Not so much the trigger finger, but holding it for quite a while at the gun show, you could feel it between the trigger finger and the index finger just behind the last knuckle. I figured if I could sense it holding it, would it become bothersome after shooting for a while at the range? Just a quirk I didn't like. Luckily I was able to test holding at the gun show without a salesman hanging over me like at a normal gun shop. If you get a chance and see one give it a try, it may work out for you.

There's a cop-shop near my office that has them for $550 with night sights and 3 hi-caps. They have both flavors, I just can't find the time to go down there.

I would try to make time for something like that . Good luck on finding that time you need. It really is a sweet glock (aren't they all!).

How do you find time to be in the office when you're busy offending others?

I have to be in the office at least once a week. The great thing is that I can offend people from my office. I call certain people, drop a name, and someone's going to jail. It's great!

I have a 21 SF and the ambi mag release does not bother me. I don't use the right side of the release though. I did worry about recoil causing a accidental mag release but now that does not worry me as it takes quite a bit of pressure to release the mag on that side....The 21 SF is now my favorite pistol..good shooter.

What are the going rate for glocks now? I have a police supply store about ten minutes from the house that has new ones for $399. I don't know that I've ever priced them anywhere else.

If you can get a new G21SF for $399 I'd jump all over that. I got mine from www.topglock.com (http://www.topglock.com) for $505 + 19.95 s&h (no sales tax, as the sale was out of state) + $20 transfer fee for my dealer and his FFL. Total was about $545 and I thought I was doing good....Around here (Texas) I couldn't find one for less than $550 or $600 and then I still would have had to pay sales tax.

I love my SF. I have the Ambi. mag release and it does not bother me at all. Great shooter too.

I have to agree the SF is a great shooter. I went today and put 100 rounds downrange. To me and my small hands it shot better than the 21 I rented from the local range last week. Now I need to find some cheap FMJ/Plated to reload with. Is the cheapest Precision Delta? I used them for 9mm but just making sure before I purchase the 230 gr at $126.00 per 1K. So far they are the best. Any thoughts. It really is a shame this SF shoots so well because I will need to have plenty of boolits on hand.:sifone:

My #2 G21SF was purchased from a cop shop with the GSSF discount certificate. I made sure it didn't have the Picatinny rail, but didn't notice that it DID have the ambi mag release. That did irritate my delicate fingers so I beveled the front lower edge with some sandpaper. It now feels okay, but dropping a full magazine is still more cumbersome than is the case with my #1 G21SF -- which has Glock rail and standard mag release.

I don't think that price includes the 21 or the 21sf. That's for fixed sight 17,22,19,23,26,27 and maybe a few others. I saw a LE price of $540 for the 21SF with trijicons.

I have the ambi release. I'd never even know it was there if I didn't look.

I have the Pic. rail too.....no biggy as I have holsters that work great for it and I doubt I'll ever attach anything to it.

Love the 21 SF!

that'll probaly be the only model to have a pic rail. part of the reason I got mine, the other because it looks cool.......mine has a streamlight attached to it. It is my house gun.
