Well guys & gals I did my first bit of reloading yesterday Thanks to JJB. He showed me the ropes & how to use his LCT. I produced a few little ones with it using the "pulled" 9mm Bullets I got from Midway, Some of JJB's Brass, Powder, & Primers.

We shot a few out of this

I did mess a few up by forgetting to prime them & one I did not like the overall length of after crimping. All in all I had a GREAT time & it was a lot of fun. I think it is time to get the LCT Press Kit from Kempf's now!!!

Many Thanks to JJB!!!!!

J

P.S. - And the fugly photo of me reloading that JJB took. Not fugly because of him, because of me!!

Figured I'd post it here too.

See that concentration!!!!! Remembered to seat the primer that time.

Wow, you didn't blow your face off or anything?

JJB must be improving. I think he killed the last guy he trained.

Well done! Proud of you!
I find a comfort in handloading, it helps me order an otherwise disorderly universe, at least for a little while ...

He didn't die but he is the one that all the "what do you call a man with no arms and no legs..." jokes are based on.

Looks like the "Sunshine School" of reloading. How many hours did it take to load 39 rounds? Prolly took the first hour to understand Jawja's first instruction. Unique won't dribble out the little hole in the bottom if no primers are pounded in. Did ya add 'em later so ya don't waste components?

You didn't mention the "cup and turn" first shot. Well? Did ya?

Thanks all!!!

get safety goggles.

I did bring safety glasses with. But JJB showed be exactly how to do everything & I was going very very slow & being careful every time. It probably also helped that I read the ABC's of Reloading he let me borrow 2 times from Front-Back.

Thanks again guys. It was very fun.

J

P.S. - I'm not going to bi*** about powder when it's free!!! ;)

J,

I'm surprised an electrician would say that. You don't where safety glass to protect you from the chit that is going to happen, but the chit you don't know is going to happen.

Eye protection, every time, all the time.

jtrade,

JJB seems to think you're worthy of inclusion in our twisted community (poor boy) - so please safety glasses & all safety measures in the reloading efforts. As Darwin has proved - we'll forgive & support lapses in the use of firearms - but DON'T f it up in reloading. We got enough problems a'ready & it ain't a high stress endevor. :)
