View from outside. I had to move it in the garage as it started raining. Lead + water = bad chi And yes, my wife drives a Kia.

Alloy poured into cupcake pans. Not very durable. The cups come out. Not one piece molded like the old ones.

This chunk of lead weighed a lot.

Sweet! Nice job Freak. I'm getting closer myself. I have wheel weights, turkey fryer, propane, etc. Still need a pot.

When you get your pot, go big and get steel. You don't want to have aluminum pot straining under the weight of 200 pounds of wheel weights. Lead is heavier than you think, and the heating the pot over and over only anneals the metal. Not good for strength.
I never used a turkey fryer but some people swear by it.
Cooking lead is a viable outlet for participating in shooting when you can't pull a trigger.

My turkey fryer does a fine job. Mine's a 65K BTU unit. Very satisfied.

I'm heading out for my meeting today and on the way back I'm getting another 300# of lead. Lead supply is really getting down there. I had the last 20# of mine in the pot before I got this small stash. Gotta build back up. My FIL has 400# of pure lead, but there's too much snow at the farm to go get it.
GB, I got a lot of the stuff on the CRB. The fryer was a SW item at about $40, the butch oven was a SW item on sale for $12.99 (50% off). The ladle is just a big soup ladle from the dollar store. Muffin pans are $5ea and I usually destroy them after two or three sessions. They can't take the heat very well. After a dozen or so fills, the cups pop out of the framing. You can probably get setup with a tank for $75-100 tops. I get refills (exchange) for $19.98 here. I've melted over 1500 pounds on this tank and still has life.

If you get desperate my gunny has a little lead laying around his shop. I'm sure that for the right price he'd get off of some of it.
Ask P99 if I'm lying, this stack is just PART of his stockpile
