I've made them from scratch but only once. I thought they were just OK but maybe I just need to perfect my technique.

Yes and yes, most of my life off and on.

We make em with a little Steen's and real butter and cream mixed with self rising flour, a little baking powder and a pinch of salt.

Cook em on a hot griddle and eat em hot.

They're easy to cook, freeze and vacuum bag real well, so when we mess with it, we generally make enough to last.

They are excellent for breakfast, but also with a nice big chunk of fatty or wad of thick bacon in em. easy to eat on the go too.

I'm not even going to tell you how good they go with a plate of cue ;)

sweet potatoes is one of the few things i dont like.

never tried a backed one but i think i'd like that.
