Well it's time for me to get my **** together for putting in for party hunts for mule deer and pronghorns and it has me thinking about the ole .30-30. I want to scope it so I can get out there a little farther but scope mounts for a Winchester are like hen's teeth to find. Anybody have a good one that is ergonomic for a right-handed shooter? I am not against having a forward mounted one with a extended eye relief scope so let's hear about those as well. Thanks!

You have optics on a pistol, sit down and be quiet.
i have one part of a weaver mount sitting under my monitor, no idea where the other one is. came off a 94 in 44 mag. it came drilled and tapped from the factory for a mount.

Thanks ede, I will have to get it out and look at if it is drilled. I have heard that the later ones were drilled from the factory and screws filling the holes to keep them clean. This gun is from the '80s, how old was your's?
