Last weekend, I took a handgun skills developer course at Steve Moses' Bluff Dale Firearms Academy near Weatherford, TX.

Even for a long-time pistol/revolver shooter, it was a fabulous learning experience. I've known Steve for 25+ years and have had a goodly amount of personal instruction from him over the years, but this was my first official class of firearms instruction to take from him. He and his associates are excellent, patient firearms instructors. Moses, Mahmoud, and Frantz coached 10 of us through the day using close to a half case of ammo each. With an excellent student/instructor ratio like that, we all received plenty of 1 on 1 time with each of them.

Their facility is located north of Weatherford, Texas - which was very convenient for me, and not far for anyone in the DFW metro area.

The course was executed without a bit of testosterone-loaded BS from anyone - very much unlike many other schools of instruction around. We received strictly practical instruction for the day - and and it was just about as safe as shooting can be.

We had 3 ladies of various ages and experience levels present - and after observing their skill sets improve, I would recommend that you not try to break into any of their homes. This is a excellent place to send your wife for quality firearms instruction. I guarantee that she'll ask you to take her shooting afterwards to practice the drills - and you'll avoid that long chilly drive home after you've bullied and belittled her at the range.

You DFW folks with the AKs need to elevate your Mall Ninja skill-levels by taking his courses on that weapon platform - and learn how to really run that thing. :akfa:
