I use 3 in 1 oil normally. I also have a can of hoppes oil which is the same thing basically.

I also have a bottle of nyoil that i bought off the gunsmith. Its is odorless and tasteless. It seems to be some pretty good stuff. http://www.lubekits.com/?load=nyoil

I also I am trying out some silver bullet gun oil. i have only lubed a few guns with it and havent tested it extensively. It kinda smells like used motor oil.
http://www.silverbulletgunoil.net/

I also use tetra gun grease on occasion.

I think the 3in1, the hoppes and the Nyoil is all about the same though and thats what i prefer so far.

So what does everyone else use?

Forgot to mention I use remoil as well. Mostly for cleaning and wipe down. Somtimes i use it for lube in a semiauto 22 action or something similar.

I've also used CLP and havent found it to be anything special.

Corrosion X for storage, followed by a nice shot of Zep 45

For cleaning at the range, I use CLP, Breakfree most often because that's easy to find

For an after range trip deep clean detail strip, barrel clear out, I use Hoppe's Elite Bore Foam (same thing as MPro7 foam).

General lube on a tight gun, I use Militec -1, sparingly, cause it costs a small fortune.

Hoppes old school #9 for general cleanup or field strip

FP10 from time to time too cause I like it

For rifle bores, Sweet's 7.62 and Hoppe's Elite Foam

Best cleaner of the bunch IMO - is Hoppe's Elite Bore Foam. It will get crap out of your barrel, you didn't know was in there. Removes light copper streaks too, and works well on heavy lead if you let it sit for a while.

Zep 45 dries to a tacky film and one application will last years and years that I know of first hand. It comes right off with a shot of non-chlorinated brake cleaner.

I tried almost all of the ones I've seen over the years and Hoppe's Elite Foam, Breakfree CLP, Corrosion X and Zep 45 will get the job done with little or no hassle.

Militec was hyped up pretty strong a few years back, I just figured it was another over-priced snake oil, but if I have a pistola with a slide to frame fit so tight the gun gets hot, one little shot of Militec one smooths it out nicely... holds up too.

For Glock's and AK's with corrosive, hot soapy water to clean then blow out with compressed air, give it a spray of CLP and forget about it.

If I get em all in one spot I look like a peddler, all I need is a covered wagon and a box to stand on and I could take it on the road :animlol:

Damn, Slick. It would have been a far shorter list for those that you do NOT use!! :whistling1:

I like the modern non-toxic cleaners like MPRO7. I like Weapon Shield a lot for lube but as of late have been using G96, both the old stuff & their new Milspec CLP which is better than Break Free IMO. You guys really ought to try this new G96 CLP.

Dang homie...you're not eating the stuff are you????

I use 3 in 1 for lube and Hoppes for the bore.

On my Glocks and other stuff where I need a quick cleaning I use brake cleaner from Wal-Mart.

Gotta oil anything that's prone to rust soon after cause that stuff takes all the grease off.

Well when i bought it they touted it as odor less and tasteless.... i smelled it, and nothing. Then there was only one thing left to do. LOL

Breakfree for general cleaning/corrosion protection.

Sweet's 7.62 for rifle barrels.

Brian Enos Slide Glide grease for librication.

Chor-boy for taking lead out of the HK polygon barrel.

I've been using Weapon Shield for pretty much everything. Ballistol for black powder.

I hate to use " space age super polymer lubes " . Maybe jet fuel and an air hose , ATF acetone . With tri-flow or 3in1 as a wipe down .

A swat guy gave me some " hot mix of ammonia " they only use only patches to remove copper , never a brush . You can only use it out doors , in the wind .

Ammonia based cleaners are now Stone Age technology.

There are alot of good gun lubes and cleaners out there I have tried alot of them. I mainly use FP-10 due to the fact I have alot of it on hand, but breakfree is good to go too. I got alot free small samples of slip 2000, mil tech, FP-10, etc. They all seem to work well, but mainly shoot glocks so you could basically use spit if you had to for a temporary lube if you had to. :)

For serious purposes I still use Breakfree CLP, but for range use I have gone to a 3/1 mix of canola oil and Dexron automatic transmission fluid.

I would use sperm oil, just like John M. Browning did, but we don't get too many sperm whales here in Kentucky.

Montana extreme is the best bore cleaner I have used.

I use EEzox on business guns and mobil 1 for range use.

Try some of the Hoppe's Elite bore foam.

I'd be curious to see if it gets anything out of the barrel after the Montana cleaner.

I've cleaned guns countless times and what I used to think was clean will still leave some crap in the pores of a barrel.

Hoppe's foam is the bomb, as it will float up stuff you'd never imagine was in your bore

For real

I haven't tried Hoppe's foam. Lots of people tell me that Barbasol shaving cream does a good job of cleaning. I haven't tried this either, but will some time soon.

Its really nothing but stearic acid. It doesn't hurt my face, so it shouldn't hurt my gun.

Can you elaborate a little. I use Barbasol for shaving and always have some around. Cheap too, especially when I find it on sale.

I first heard of it a couple of months ago. Its been a long winter, and I haven't had a chance to get a gun dirty, so I haven't actually tried it. I will though, since it is cheap and I don't see how it can hurt.

The fumes are enough to stop a charging rhino.

Seriously, try the KG12 as it has no noxious fumes & cleans copper better IMO.

Cody really wants your business also. Sent me an extra needle tip bottle because my order was late shipping. Stuff just works and works. By the way, the taste is acceptable also.:harhar:
