will be available April according to Glock. I predict this one to fly off the shelves as it appears (unconfirmed) that the grip will be even smaller than the SF grip which will be good news to many who coined the term "Still Fat" for the SF frames.

Will it still have the same capacity as a normal 21?

Why wouldn't it?

It should. Correct me, someone, if I'm wrong but the SF is slimming of the framer from front to back...ie: from frontstrap to backstrap so that those with smaller fingers can reach the trigger better.

This should have no affect on the double-stack capacity of the 21.

Good deal, the best part of the Glock system is the high capacity.

I'm not one to care about the usual width of my G-21's backstrap. I'm older; and I have fairly large hands. Consequently I find it much more comfortable to shoot a G-21 with it's, 'fatter' backstrap than, say, an H&K USP with its much narrower strap. A box of ammo might be, 'no matter'; however, after about 150 rounds is when I really start to feel it inside the web of my now slightly arthritic gun hand.

About the only thing I'll say for Glock's Gen4 pistols is that they have done, and are doing, 'wonders' for the sale of Glock's third generation pistols! Whenever I compare Smith's M&P or a Walther P99 frame to one of the new Glock backstrap frames, the Glock always seems to have the most flimsy and fakakta grip design.

Not for me! I just bought a new Glock pistol; and I made sure it was a third generation. So far I've got 2,800 rounds downrange and have to say that this is the most trouble-free new Glock I've ever owned!

(It's a G-19.)

I really hope you're not going to start the same crap here that you do on the "other" forum about the Gen4. Most of us ol' timers here came here to get away from the crap over there.

I actually prefer 1st gen frames.

Anyone know where I could get a 2nd gen G20?

I got to say I am with Boge on this one. I also supect that Boge would say anything in person that he would say on the board.

Well, while I admire you for standing up for your friend, my strong suspicion is that you're mistaken. Maybe we should all do, 'lunch' and get this thing sorted out over a few drinks. ;)

I am of the opinion that people should maybe not pass judgement on the Gen 4 without having actual experience with it.

And on that note, Gen 4's are the only Glocks I will buy from now on. They feel like a step up from the previous generations of Glock IMO.
