Bought a new safe today and I hope I didn't step on my private parts. I can't find anything online about it, other than it is a Cannon brand. It appears to be a quality piece, has an outstanding warranty (if they live by it and I have no reason to doubt them at this point) and had some features that safes costing $400.00 more didn't have (eg, a plug in for a dehumidifyer etc).
It is a Cannon CS20 Executive Vault. I can't find it on the Cannon web site.
I paid $569.99 for it, with tax and shipping and handling. Maybe it's buyers remorse but for the money I spent, sure does seem like I got a smokin' deal (which I usually do NOT).
Anyone have a safe like this? If so, what are your thoughts?
Thanks

This is it...ordered it online for $569.99, including shipping, handling and sales tax. I actually called Cannon safe this AM and it is made by them for Costco and other warehouse type outlets. That is why it's called "Executive Vault" and not shown on thier website. They guy said it is equivelent to the Scout S19. Altho this model has 5 spokes for the door instead of 3. I'm pretty happy...for the money it looks like a lot of safe. I worried about the relatively short duration of fire protection so I stopped the local fire station to discuss it with them. Basically, for most home use 30 minutes is plenty long enough. Most (please note the FF said "most") residential fires do not generate the intense heat for a duration long enough to actually breach the safe. Obviously, commercial structures, apartment buildings etc, can have a sustained temperature high enough and long enough to breach a safe with only 30 minutes of fire protection. So, for my situation...30 shoud suffice.:whistling1::mf_w00t2:
Because as fire protection goes up so does cost:badmood:

Prolly will refuse shipment tomorrow when it gets here. Won't even let them unload it.
The safe appears to be everything it should be. Personal reasons I don't need the safe anymore.

My wife is saying keep the safe...I have the end say and she almost never wins. If I keep it I will post my thoughts on the safe because it is a dang good buy if you can buy from Costco.

A friend of mine bought a nice Winchester safe from Sam's. He opened a Sam's Card when he bought it and got a big percentage off the thing. He paid it off when the first statement arrived and then cancelled the card.

How much was it (if you recall or even knew) and what were the dimentions (same as above). Would be nice to know for compare them.
