A buddy of mine offered to sell me his Mossberg Maverick 88 today for $100. I handed him the money on the spot and drove out to his house after work. The gun is in probably 90 percent condition with a few spots of surface rust on the bbl. The action is suprisingly smooth and tight.
It came with 2 diff. screw in chokes but no wrench.
I think I got a great deal, even my wife thought so. Usually when I walk in with another shooting iron and tell her how much she rolls her eyes and asks me why I need another gun. This time she says "Wow! That's a good deal."

Good price!

Write to Mossberg and get the free owners manual.

I've got a Mossberg 12-ga and it stands guard duty at casa nitesite. Your's won't let you down if you practice with it. Hunting to home defense it's all good.

Clean and lube it once and you probably won't have to do it again for about 500 rounds or more.

Nice price for a good field gun. A little oil and extra fine steel wool will take care of the minor surface rust. Good for you!

Why is it necessary for everyone else to get a good deal. I never win anything nor do I seem to find good deals at garage sales.

What gives?

If it makes you feel bettter, I never win anything either. I think the sayin' about a blind squirrel finding a nut... applies here.:yesnod:
Proudly wear your gun nut badge at all times and deals will find you.
