Was doing a little shootin like I always do at least once a month. Usually I don't have friends over but this time I invited my best friend & his wife. We shot pistols & rifles for about an hour & a half. Everyone had a blast. My friends better half said they had to leave all of a sudden. So we started packing stuff up. He shot a another mag out of the P89 & 10 rounds out of the SKS real quick since they had to leave. We had just about everything packed up, I look up & see a Cop pulling down the 75 ft "right of way" between our house & the neighbors house. He gets out the car & starts walking over to the gate.
To make a long story short someone called & said we were shootin "automatic weapons". He said they didn't give their name but I know it was the people that are suing us & our neighbors because they think they own the 75ft "right of way". He told me he had to come out since someone called. He asked what we were shootin at & I showed him the 50+ pines trees cut in 10ft sections stacked on top each other. We put the target stands in front of those. I told him I was sorry & he said no big deal & left.
However he said one thing that kinda got me thinking. He said "It is against the law to shoot any gun within 100 yards of a residence".
Does anyone know for sure? I can't find anything stating this...
Thanks,
J

Depends on the place I guess. Out here in the desert I have heard it as far as a mile from a house, but that's not really an inconvenience since there is so much open country. Best bet would be to call your local District or City Attorney's office and about anyone in there should be able to answer it for you.

Thanks!!! I didn't even think about doing that. Then I will know for sure. I have searched & searched online & can't find squat on that law in GA.
Thanks again,

Check the DNR / hunting regulations, thats one of the most common / easiest places to find this type of information.
Sometimes the regulations depend on weather your the land owner/tennent or not.

I'll check that out.
That's why I don't understand why he brought it up cause I own the land I was shooting on plus I was 100 yards from all residences.
Thanks,
J

I have an old grave yard next to my range, but those folks haven't complained yet.

Man if they ever do you better hope you have a 10mm with you. I have heard that they are the only thing that will kill a zombie.

I really enjoy my old grave yard. It's about 150 years old and is now covered in woods. The headstones are nothing but simple rock slabs that no longer have anything legible left on them. I don't really know how many dead I have because so many markers have disappeared over time. When the light filters through the tree tops just right you can see sunken places all over the ground. Dead folks make great neighbors.

Guess you dont have to worry about them stealing anything, causing trouble, or calling the cops!!

If that first fella has such a rotted face why does his stomach look normal?
Cuz the mortician was incompetent?
Why are zombies always blue-collar types? You never see a zombie roll out in a business suit.

Why are nearly all zombies white folks? Michael Jackson was a zombie in Thriller and he is white.
