I met a new guy at the range today and got the opritunity to shoot an EAA Witness 9mm (full size), and I'm impressed!

Very solid, shot well, and saw no problems with it at all the whole time the guy was shooting it. So that leads me to believe something is wrong somewhere.

They're very affordable; I found one at Bud's (.45acp) for @ $389 delivered! Do they have a crappy warranty?, Are they shyte right out of the box?

heres the online gun manual, look at the last page (8). It says it has a limited lifetime warranty. And get this on page 3 it says use good quality ammo instead of telling you not to use reloads. But it says on page 1 not to use +p ammo http://pdf.textfiles.com/manuals/FIREARMS/eaa_witness.pdf

I actually like the the EAA witness better than the CZ75. All the CZ's I have seen have a decocker.

While the EAA's seem to have an actual safety.

With an EAA you go SA safety on. I prefer DA/SA and safety. I dislike DA/SA and decocker. However if you are going this route please consider a getting a BHP.

One of the cool things about EAA is that you can get a factory 22LR conversion.

I've got two, a 10mm compact with the Wonder Finish and a blued 10mm full-size. Good guns, plenty reliable, and you can buy the conversion kits for .22LR, 9mm, .38 Super, .40 S&W, 10mm Auto, and .45 ACP for about $200 each. You can make the triggers real nice, too.

CZ75 come in two models, with adn without a decocker. I have a CZ 75 without the decocker and with the safety. The EAA guns that I have seen have been very decent clonesof the CZ 75 and of the CZ 97 (bigger 45 ACP). They also have a 10MM clone that I want to get. I love my CZ, one of the more accurate bottom feeders I own.

eaa 10mm stock spring is too weak for real 10mm loads [mine are in doubletap territory - 180 doing 1325 out of witness compact lol] as brass gets thrown 35' or more - need to upgrade to 20+lb spring

My CZ75B has a safety, as God intended. It can be carried cocked & locked or hammer down in traditional DA mode.

They also make a single-action version, or used to.

I did not know thank you for the correction. I was only reporting my own experience. I am only semi omniscient. Thus I am only all knowing some of the time.

Oh wait maybe I know some things all the time.
