The new Ruger MK3.
3.5 inch barrel, already threaded from the factory, high sights to see over the can, very accurate.
I liked it so much that I got one, I already had two Mk2's.
For the rifle...Ruger bull barrel.
Can...HunterTown Arms, Guardian 22, by far the best bang for the buck. I've sold a bunch for 200 bucks.

One of the reasons I, have been staying away from supressers is the cost. At $229.00, is less then what my latest scope is going to cost. The same scope that I, don't have a rifle for yet.

Yeah that price is all but irresistible! And if HG says they sound good for the money, then for me it's just a matter of rounding up the cash and a host!

Pistol--Ruger 22/45 mdl P45GMK3PRRP or P45GMK3RP
A Ruger with a Tactical Solutions upper is lighter, but more money.
Bolt Action rifle---Savage MkII FV-SR
Semi auto rifle--Ruger 10-22, Tactical Solutions threaded barrel.

Glock AA conversions
I want a GOOD bolt rifle.
I want a heavy barreled Ruger MKII chopped VERY short.

I've built a bunch of those too. 16.250 long and threaded 1/2-28. Makes for a very nice setup when a 6" suppressor is screwed on it.

I really got to say i am very fond of my 22 suppresion plans.
2213 plus extended barrel nut.
the thing that is cool about the 2213 is that it already has a threaded barrel. The recoil spring is above the barrel. Thus the suppressor does not interfere with your sight picture.
The weapon also shares magazines with most other S&W 22. Thus I can use the stock 8 round mags or the mags from my model 41 which have 12 rounds.

The main reason I'm interested in supressers other then the cool factor, is because I, get along with my neighbours. Unfortunately they don't get along with each other. So my question is the sonic crack going to be audible to the rear of my firing position? What about to the side's? How much does distance affect the sonic crack?

There is no audible crack if you shoot subsonic rounds. Pretty much all you hear is the greatly dimished pop and the thud of the bullet striking the target.
If you shoot supersonic rounds, generally the crack reflects off of the target. If you are shooting through trees, the sound will reflect off of the target and the trees.
If you are shooting .22 subsonic, and you are shooting in the back yard, your wife sitting on the front deck wont know that you are shooting.

I'm not so much worried about my wife, but the neighbor's. The field I, would be shooting in belongs to the ex SIL, of one of my neighbors. Oh and on the other side is the ex GMIL. It is a low intensity feud that was going on before I, ever moved there. One that I, have work hard at keeping my nose out of. Because of this I, don't shoot much in the field so as not to bring any more heat onto the owner.
