I have read and seen so much about the auto disc. Where can I find out about how to set up the Perfect Powder Measure? I just won a whole Loadmaster set up on ebay, new for $127 including shipping. I am sure I can finger it out, but I like to be witness to other peoples' mistakes first:seeya:
Thank you in advance for your help.

Hmmm. The LoadMaster setup should ship with the Pro AutoDisk, not the Perfect Powder Measure, especially if its brand new.
Are you sure your's will have the lever-operated measure instead of the cavity disk version used on most Pro1000 and LM's ?

I am certain that the LM's that are set up for rifle calibers, I guess I should have mentioned that mine is in .223 REM, come with the Perfect Powder measure. But thank you for your concern.

You're right - wasn't thinking in terms of LM's pre-packaged for rifle, as by far most are sold for pistol/revolver.
Never had the Perfect, but I've owned an LM and/or watched LM threads for 15 years now and don't recall a single issue posted about the Perfect measure (of course, the Perfect was produced several years after the LM). I think getting a spare lamp pull-chain from a hardware store is about all you might have any concern for - otherwise, no reported problems.

I recently set up my PPM on my LoadMaster to load .223's. Once I got the parts all assembled in the right order and the chain set properly, all was well. The thing that seems to be the most critical here is how tight the screw on the side of the measure is. Too tight and you'll damage your cases - too loose and you'll spill powder.

Thanks for the tip. The screw you are referring to, is it the one almost in the middle of the cylinder, opposite the measure adjustment?

Right - Holds the whole drum together, the one you have to remove to put the chain and actuating arm in place.
