View Full Version : 2-Stage Triggers
Today I felt the best trigger I have ever felt. It was on a Walther KK300 22 rifle. OMG, this thing was just sweet. It was light, crisp, superb.
So I was wondering, does anyone make a 2-stage trigger for the Remington 700? What centerfire bolt rifles come with 2-stage triggers? I want one real bad.

Most military bolt actions have two stage triggers. They usually work by having a couple of notches in the trigger that rotate against the striker. Semi auto two stage triggers like the Garand type work by having the first stage be when the top of the disconnector bumps the back of the hammer. The second stage is when the trigger releases the hammer from the lower forward catch.

What? Your 700 trigger isn't a nice 2 lbs? .....Mine is. No creap either.

I have a Rifle Basix three lever set at 1.5 lbs.
I want a 2-stage, though. So I oredered one from X-treme today. Thanks, JWP!
get a jewel
not 2 stage but 4-6 oz are easy
or anschutz with rem setup the cost is 750 or so but 2stage 1/2 oz is the best
Jewell pissed me off a long time ago. They are not getting ANY of my business EVER! Besides, they do not have a crisp trigger. Their trigger is such that you never know when it's going to fire.
anschutz then
i can rest my finger on the second stage and when appropriate do the 1/2 oz - almost like slapping the trigger tastes great; less filling, just $$$$$$$$
That's exactly how that Walther trigger felt. Oh the joy! I'll tell you how that jackson trigger does.
