I seriously love my g20. How crap I never thought I would shoot anything but 9mm. But the 10mm is soooo good. It is very accurate. It is great to reload for. But.....
Should I have waited for the G20 SF. I just got the greatest "brother in law deal." The price was too good to pass up.
What should I do. Try to sell when the SF is here? Will the price of the standard G20 go down the crapper when the SF arrives.
What has happened to sales of the G21 now that the G21SF is on the scene?
Do think I might be able to buy the frame from Glock if I send the old frame back to them?

If the 20 SF ever comes out.......Hang on to it unless they do come out with a "SF" model. You could always get the grip "reduced"

I understand that but the new glock 20 mags have the new notch for the SF ambi mag release. This leads me to believe that they plan a G20 SF.

Or they just plan on switching everything over to ambi mag releases, but I do hope you will be right. I am going to stock up on as many of the new mags as I can get beause the G20 is on my list.

Even if I ended up buying a second G20 there are worst guns to own two of. It is not like I would be buying a second high point or phoenix.
I guess we will know by summer.
Maybe I will give my friend who works for glock a call and find out the real dope about the SF series and while I am at it I talk to him about the Carbine.
(Just pulling your chain) I do not really have any friends.

I don't yet own a G20, but don't think that you can go wrong with many of the 100mmw guns. Every one that I own is really accurate and fun to shoot.

I own two G21s and a G20. Couldn't give a ratsass if I ever see an SF, as I'm completely satisfied with the grips on the aforementioned Glocks. :) I shoot no Glock that's not Agripped!

guys all the sf models probable wont come out all at the same time but rather one by one. You dont know if it will be this year or when so i would hang onto both if you can and if the sf comes out just call glock and see if you can get an sf frame

I thought that was a little odd too.
I just let it pass but as long as it is being called out...
What the heck does that mean?
Is this something like a 100GW gamma ray laser?

fatfingered the heck out that didn't I? 10mm
I went to the store to play with a G21 SF. I like the new grip profile. It is like a Glock with a custom grip reduction package. Nice.

Buy a 21SF and simply switch the top end and modify the mags if necessary. The top end and the ejector are all the same part numbers. I used a switch top gun for quite a while, no problems. (Then you could even sell the 21 top end on the 20 frame if you wanted to)

I flattened the backstrap on my G30. I just have to get a soldering iron and stipple it. Then I have my own G30SF.

21 SF = Blah
When the designed the G-21 they used my right hand as a model.
I put a rubber sleeve on it and "Perfection!"

The entire "SF" deal is a direct response to the Springfield XD. I have 2 XDs and 0 Glocks. I also love the 10mm so that leaves me in quite a bind... Anyone who says the stock glock is more comfortable to hold.. I just cant agree with. Bottom line.. I will buy a 10mm XD or a G20SF.. whichever comes out first.
i had a G20 i didn't care that much for but have a g29 i love. doesn't make good sense but that's how it is for me. trouble is loading 10mm ammo is a PITA and i'm going to sell the g29 when i use all the ammo i have on hand. i should say not so much a PITA but reducing calibers i compete with simplifies things for me alot.

My next purchase will be a 21 or 21sf, which ever I can get the best deal on. I'm glad Glock came out with the sf models, for people that need that little bit taken off of the grip for comfort.
I don't really have any trouble gripping either one, so it comes down to $$$$!
I wish they'd come out with a 10mm in a Glock "compact" size- like the 19 or 23.

The G29 is about the same size as a G19.

Check out www.topglock.com (http://www.topglock.com) www.glockworld.com (http://www.glockworld.com) They are both one and the same. Try a transfer. I don't know what state you are in but you could skip the sales tax. Me for ex: I live in Texas, I arranged with my FFL ahead of time. $505 for the G21SF, +19.95 shipping +$20 to my FFL when the gun arrived. No sales tax since the actual purchase happened out of state. I got it for under $550. You cant touch one around here in a shop for under $550-$600 then you gotta pay sales tax.

The cheapest I've found on a G21sf is @$600+tax, background check.

I don't understand all this need for a smaller grip. I put a Hogue HandAll on my G20/21L and it feels just right.
BTW, I'm 5'9", 180lbs, with not overly large hands.

I flattened the backstrap on my G30 as the hump in it was annoying and messed with my natural point. I've handled full size Glocks before and didn't have the problem.

I just really like how my 1st gen g17 feels in my hands. I wish my G20 felt as good.
I picked up a G21SF last fall and love it! It was $522.00 out the door local.. I had bought a CPO P226 from them that had a few issues and instead of sending it back to Sig via the gunstore, I just decided to get something else and the G21SF was it, they took a hit on it but they wanted to make me happy and they did!!!! A G20 is on the list, but don't really care if it's an SF or not, it might be really nice if it is.. I used a Houge Handall grip on a S&W 5915 back in the 90's and after 10K rounds or so, it got kind of loose.. I just use grip tape on my Glocks! The G-21SF feels about the same as my G-17C as far as grip size goes, but my G-30 is a little fat.. I may be changing that one for the new G-30SF when it comes out also! J.

If your Hogue gets loose, try putting it on with a bit of hairspray. Makes it easy to slide on but dries tacky and keeps it in place. BTW, rubber cement also works.

On my G21, I sanded off all the factory texture on the grip as well as the finger grooves and then stippled it with a 25-W iron. Gives some girth reduction, an awesome gripping surface, and lets your fingers go where they want to instead of into those annoying grooves. It is light years better than the stock grip. Pic attached.

I actually like the grooves, but I'm going to get rid of the checkering and stipple where the checkering used to be. Getting a soldering iron today.

Thats exactly what I did. Now I can enjoy both a G20SF or a G21 SF with a simple top change. I already bought the new 4th gen G20 mags to go with it. Deff sweet

I think getting a G21SF this summer is a real possibility. However If I do that I will not be getting a g29 :(
Oh well the difficult decisions that we all have to make.

So the real question is...
when it the heck is SIG going to come out with a 10 MM ?

They are fools.

SIG needs a more rigid platform than the PXXX series to do 10mm, 220 10mm conversions wouldn't hold up even if they could be done.
HotGuns

Actually they are being done and they seem to be doing OK.
There are a couple of smiths that have been doing it awhile over one the Sig Forum.
They are welding-up the breechface, shortening the firing pins, etc. It is turning out to be a pretty expensive mod.

I haven't seen the latest about the 220 10mm mods. At any rate, 220s don't have a good track record with .45 Super, 10mm isn't all that much different.
Welding the breech face? If they're doing that with anything other than GTAW (TIG), using identical filler metal and post heat treating, I would not consider it.
