3 Gunninn' Today

I'm MD'ing my first 3 gun match today. Rainy and cool, but 20+ die hard shooters showed up. Not bad for the weather and the fact the last MD was getting 25 shooters in good weather. Many of the previous shooters have have expressed relief he's gone and I'm running the matches now. 2 of the stages I wrote are doing well. The other 3 stages put together by others are doing fine also.

I decided not to shoot the match because of the weather and I wanted to pay attention to the guys shooting so I can learn more about what the hell I am supposed to do. I've only shot one 3 gun match before.

Match is over. I just need to input the scores. Except for the weather it went well. Lots of compliments on the stages. Everyone liked one I wrote that had a "grenade" launcher (popper falls and tosses a clay target straight up). I had bought some of the pink hulled Federal shotgun shells that are being used to raise money for breast cancer. Gave everyone enough rounds to shoot the stage. I didn't video it but I should have, one of the gals has a pink AR and Glock she shoots. She did well. I'll post a pick of her shooting the rifle once I download the pictures to my computer.

They also ate almost all of my chili.

I've recently gotten involved in 3 gunning and really regret not taking it up sooner. It's a lot of fun and I get to use it to run some of my equipment hard, which is nice.
