Hey all,

So, in an effort to make a change, I bought a Tanfoglio Stock 2 (see previous post). The gun is VERY accurate, is all STEEL so it absorbs recoil of the .40 S&W nicely, and is set up for USPSA with 19 round mags.

Now, I bought this as a substitute for my Limited G35 tricked out with Vanek trigger, Lone Wolf barrel, ICE magwell, etc., etc., etc. and shot it a bit for the past few weeks.

This week I got some new sights for the Limited 35....bought Sevigny Competition sights....plain black rear with .150 notch and .245 tall front sight with fiber optic. I put them on today and went to range to get final adjustments...HOLY COW :-O I was shooting 5 round groups at 50 feet into 1.5"!!! What the heck!??

I ran more rounds through that Glock and it was MORE accurate than my newly acquired Tanfoglio!

Darn...may have to go back to the GLock! Anyone else have this phenomena happen? Move to a new platform for better accuracy then go back only to find you're more accurate with the old platform??

Can't say I've had the same experience Z. But it seems like a great problem to have.

I'm thinking it ain't the gun(s) but the person pulling the trigger that's making the improvements.

Either way, that's exciting stuff, right there!

Kinda, sorta.

Most new basic Glocks sell around here for $398 (G20 a little more at $460), so used ones have to go cheap amoungst the POlice or they just don't sell. That said, I've owned several used ones over the years, but sold them all off because I just do not like them. I don't like the trigger, the shape, the feel, the grip angle, or Austrians in general.

Then the 10mm Awesome-matic bug bit me hard. Hard like Moochelle Obama on an all you can eat hamburger buffet. Out of several different 10mm firearms the Glock 20 got my blood hot. Hot like Barack watching Moochelle working that burger buffet all sexy and whatnot. I sold off the other Tens and kept the Glock. I shoot quite well with it and love everything about it. I love the trigger, the shape, the feel, the grip angle, and I even left my wife for an Austrian. In fact, I qualified at the PD with it two days ago, so now I can carry it which I couldn't do before although I did.

Yeah, I understand.

Speaking of Glock Tactical/Practical guns, I recently handled a Gen4 G34 and wow!! What a great fitting gun!!

Zipper, I have done what you did (coming back to Glock) many times before and now I have a three gun CCW rotation: Walther PPQ, Glock Gen4 G19 & SIG p228. IMO they're the "creme de la creme" of 9mm CCW handguns.

I even left my wife for an Austrian.

That mean you can put your hog mount in the living room? :whistling1:

Sometimes, sights make a huge difference. Your setup is similar to mine only I use the Dawson (plain) adjustable target rear with their .10 wide/.285 tall FO front. The narrow front blade makes for nice precision shooting.
