.40 MAJOR loads with Bullseye or Unique

Hey all....looking for some recipes for a .40 MAJOR load using 180gr bullets and Bullseye or Unique.

I'm shooting out of a G35 with both stock & LWD barrels.

I also just scored 4,000 155gr Precision bullets (the "Black Bullets"), so any MAJOR loads for these using Bullseye or Unique would be appreciated also.

I dont have any worked up data for ya in those powders. I mainly shoot plinkers.
I personally wouldnt try to push the .40 to major with a fast powder like Bullseye.
Any reason that your limited on powder? Is that what you have on the bench?

:iagree:Trying to make major w/ an uberfast powder like BE is just asking for trouble. Even Unique is pushing hard to get much over 950fps w/ a 180gr safely.

Major for a 180gr bullet is 917fps.

You should have no problems hitting 917, especially with the G35's 5.3" barrel.

Koski likes Unique and shoots a 35. Ask him.

Yeah, basically what I have on the bench. I scored about 5lbs of BE from a fellow shooter and just ordered 4lbs of Unique based on other threads.

I'm open to others & thought about Titegroup (but I read it is similar in burn rate to BE) and Power Pistol.

For now, though, I'd like to use what I have.

Which means your avg. should be closer to 950fps to allow for deviations in vel. I still think you have to push BE too hard to get there. Alittle bullet setback & look out.:yikes::ow:
