I had a cheap one but the lead stuck in it .:incazzato:
Right now I use a Lee ingot mold and have some

Ive seen some thick aluminum pans that worked well. Stay away from steel that is tin plated. Instant weld with molten lead.

I havent seen a muffin pan yet that holds up well to continuous use, all Ive tried ended up falling apart

I plan on mounting this to a plywood board so the muffin pan doesn't flex and wear out. I got two of these.

I'm glad you guys started this thread. I was going to pick up some cheap tin ones, and now I know that would be bad!

What about Teflon coated muffin pans? Would they be non-stick with lead and would they hold up?

No. Teflon burns at about 400ºF (http://www.druflon.com/ptfeprop.html)

Saw this on Cabela's, thought it would make a good ingot mold.

That ought to weigh a pound or 2 when you go to dump out the lead.
