ATF should be the first thing to cut from our bloated government.

Or maybe TSA. Or maybe department of education. How about rural electrification. Or maybe bureau of Indian affairs.

The things that can be cut....

There's gotta be more to this. So is it having the Chore Boy with the silencer that makes them want the tax or do they expect every household with this stuff to get rid of it or pay to register it????!!!!

My understanding is that you can not own parts to a suppressor.

You could get busted if you have a bunch of baffles lying around. BATF considers any part of a supressor to be the suppressor. I think there intent is to keep people from having a piece of pipe lying around that is threaded at both ends. And a bunch of weirdly shaped washers lying around in another drawer.

Imagine this. I design a pipe that has two end caps with holes in the ends. One end the hole is threaded.

If you screw it on to the end of a pistol it does not reduce the sound of a pistol. But then I put in a metal straw up the middle that has a bunch of holes in it. This still does not act as a muffler.

Then I pack chore boy all around the straw and put in a few drops of water. then put the cap back on.

Finally this tube thing starts acting like a suppressor.

Is the tube the suppressor?
Is the straw the suppressor?
Is the chore boy the suppressor?

Some countries of the world do not make it illegal to use a device that reduces noise pollution, and reduces the chance of permanent hearing loss.

The government in the USA is neither democratic or free.

Yeah funny how they classify things.
