AR value ?

Ran across a deal today for a Colt R6600K2

1x7
lug
New and unfired in green label box complete
Factory .22 rimfire conversion (K2) is included with it
yadda yadda yadda

I've been outta da AR loop for a while, so I don't know what kinda price is fair for it. Back during the ban, it would've been worth a lot more than now (I assume). And, of course, it is a Colt, which may or may not add something to the value.

Can someone give me an idea of what to offer the guy ?

I am not sure about price but that sounds like a pretty cool set up.

FWIW I paid 800 at a gun show for a very low miles Bushmaster M4 A3

I think I saw a Colt M4 A3 for 1200.

Back when I was looking at ARs, Colts commanded a premium. I got a NIB S&W M&P-15 for $900. I seem to recall new Colts starting around $1200.

1400$ would be about right. Be aware though that some of the Colt guys think that colt firearms are made by God and are worth 10x what any other firearm is... I don't see it that way and as long as it works it's good. I wouldn't pay more than 1400$ for it, and only because it is a Colt, NIB, with the .22 conversion. Otherwise I would be calling bushmaster up and ordering the same 20" rifle with a 1:7 twist (they use 1:9 standard but offer 7 if you ask) and be done with it at less than 1000$

I agree on the 1200 to 1400 range I jsut picked up a sweet Colt 6720 elite with extras for 1350 and had a Colt 22 conv available for 350.00 but I passed ont eh 22 conversion as I dont value them as high as that

Hang out in the parking lot at the Mesquite show and you can get a Colt from some stupid shlub walking in for $800.

ETA: I gave my buddy $700 for a Bushy A2 in the setup you are looking at.

if it were mine i'd be asking 2000 at least. now asking and getting are two differant things but i bet i'm close to the price. last one i bought, in october 07 was a rock river 9mm flat top and it was right at 1200.
