Have'nt shot or loaded any wheel-gun ammo in years but scored a boat-load of brass (some .357 but mostly .38) last week during my range trip. I've had a .38/.357 conversion and die setup for my little SDB I got with it when I bought it (used) that I'd never touched -and- had an assortment of old bullets, so...

Cleaned my brass score, set that baby up & adjusted the dies for .38 and shazaam...slick as you could want, wheel gun ammo in full production (beautiful little roll-crimp, BTW). Next trip I'll dig out the S&W K-19 Combat Mag and light 'em. Only down side, cleaning a revolver seems to me like cleaning 7 guns... :ihih:

.38 and .357 reloads make up almost half of my production.

Very few of them are light target. But I do like to shoot some Bullseye loads with 158-gr LSWCs and 148-gr WCs erry now and then.

What weight and velocity are you shooting?

Today at the gun store I was handling a Smith 27-2 Highway Patrol 357 magnum.

Groping the grip and fingering the trigger took me back.... Like suckling on a teet!

Once a revolver appeals to you they don't ever loose their appeal like autos do. You might trade 4 or 5 autos (in my case, more like 10) before finding one you really like. With revolvers, (for me) they don't have to justify themselves the way an auto does. They just become permanent parts of my collection. An auto has to have ballistics at LEAST as strong as a .357 magnum, that's where my wheel guns begin.
