I have decided that this year i am going to compete in GSSF events.

I thought I should start my training. I shot "Five to Glock" Version 1

Here are my scores
G17 Amateur Civilian: 2 shots per target
48.63

G20 heavy Metal: 1 shot per target
18.64

G29 Sub Compact: 2 shots per target
49.20

G34 Amateur Competition: 2 shots per target
45.58

To arrive at my score I tried to follow the rules laid out in the Reference edition. In summary, I shot each weapon 3 times. Added the times together. Then I took the best shot of the 3 on each target and assigned time penalties as needed.

Are these score any where near competitive.

My training plan is to shoot each course 5-10 times or so this winter and spring so that I will be familiar with any course at the GSSF event this summer.

ANy suggestions or tips are appreciated.

From the GSSF matches I have shot in the winner is usually around 65 or less for all three stages totaled.

If there are any Steel Challenge matches in you area, they are great
training. If you have not done so already, get yourself some tombstone
targets to practice on---GSSF rewards accuracy--you need to be
shooting 100% "no time added".

Check past match scores here to see how youe times compare:
