If any of you ever come across this brand

http://www.centuryarms.com/hotshot.htm

And you see how cheap it is, and the box says it's "reloadable", keep on walking. I bought a hundred or rounds so of these at my local shop, was way too cheap to pass up. I think I payed $7.00 for a box of 20. Shot about fifty, and they where so underpowered they suited up just about every case. So, I finally got around to pulling the rest of them, I figured I'll just use the bullets and brass. Well, they maybe reloadable, but the vent (I like to call it flash hole) separating the primer pocket and body, IS TOO SMALL. Pulls the decaper pin out of the die. Same thing with the case trimmer.

So, a warning to anyone who may be thinking of purchasing any of this brand, dont think you will be reloading any.

Turn down the diameter of your decapping pin?

Tried that. Its the diameter of the flash hole. It will pull the pin out on the down stroke of the resizing/decaping.

I don't think we communicated effectively.

Turning=removing material to make the diameter of th decapping pin smaller. What did I miss? How does that effect the radius?

That brass has been giving a friend of mine, who processes tons of brass, fits.

He has inadvertantly sacrificed countless decapping pins to it.

If the decapping pin is smaller in diameter, it won't get caught in the flash hole.

You are right, I didn't get that the first time. Good idea, I will try that, I am sure it will work. Now why didn't I figure that out.
