My last attempts at tumble lube . On the two left - my .40 140gr "Dog crap lube" , I mix a hard lube stick with Lee alox in a hot frying pan and shake it like popcorn till cool - its hard when cooled .

On the right ,the .45 micro groove is straight liquid tumble lube outa a 6 cavity mold.

I just bought a star lube /sizer ,,, It should be here in a week or two . So this maybe my last tumble lube.

This customer is shooting at steel and wants the frag bullets, so I heat treated them. One hour in the oven at 450, then water drop in the sink.


I just bought a star lube /sizer ,,, It should be here in a week or two . So this maybe my last tumble lube.

I got it last week , with 14 dies , some lube sticks . I have some of the molly lube & Orange lyman stick on order .

We had a friend over for dinner , when the conversation started to put me to sleep . I faked a bathroom break , sized 100 bullets in 2 minutes .

I have a few duplicate dies , I may horse trade for .309 .401 and whatever 32-40 is .310 .323? .312 .

Question for you Freakshow...

Why dont you just the bullets straight from the mold into a 5 gallon bucket of cold water? Thats what I do...it seems to work well.

Or did he specify 32 BHN ?

Water dropping doesn't get it hard enough. I had to heat treat it. He wanted at least 30BHN.
