My fix fix for the LnL 9mm ejection problem – thorn137 I did have the 9mm ejection problem... both with empty cases, and with factory ammo. If i had a dremel, I'd have tried polishing the shellplate. But lacking power tools to polish, I bent the wire.
Before station:

Note the shape is a very gradual backwards "S", not just a bend to the right. I wanted to get exactly the desired angle with the least amount of "hole coverage" over the shellplate holes at station 5 and no coverage over station 4.

I spent a long time doing the bending... maybe 20-45 mins, taking it very slowly and doing very very small adjustments and double-checking after each bend. The wire is TOUGH; I've read about people breaking it, so i just took my time and did it carefully. I'm using a Hornady crimping die, so the wire's new position doesn't contact the die when i raise the ram.

Unfortunate that this tweak was required, but it wasn't physically difficult to do and ejection rate so far is 100%.

here's some pics. Sry about the focus; i don't have a $1200 camera or a tripod. The pics are also not PERFECTLY to scale in every way - this is a guide, not a perfect blueprint. And 56K modem users, my apologies...

Here's how the bent wire sits over the Station 5 right about the time it ejects. The stock wire (red) sits completely outside the area of the shell holder. The bent wire covers the top area somewhat, but doesn't cover the small hole in the bottom.

We're focusing on the angle of the bent wire as it crosses the hole. The wire needs to move over & down towards the edge of the shellplate, to change the angle of the wire in relation to the direction the shell exits the shellplate. Basically, we're rotating the wire a bit clockwise.

As you start to bend, it helps to use the hole for a reference point. As you're bending, keep inserting the wire back in to check your progress. No need to completely tighten it down; just slide it in it's groove and tighten just enough to have it stay against the bolt.

Here's how I approached the bending. The red GRIP points are where i held the vice grips; the green BEND areas are where i put the pliers to bend it.

I believe the most important areas that take the most time are #1 and #2. Be sure to get a slight backwards S. The wire should NOT be straight between Grip 1 and Grip 2 - it should curve, as this will give you a maximum angle adjustment with minimal coverage of the shellplate hole.

Getting a smooth gradual curve will take some time. Be patient and don't force it. If you find getting the wire to bend is too hard, adjust the space between your pliers and vicegrips.

Here's the end result, with the original position of the red wire for reference. The wires aren't EXACT due to limitations in photographing this, but it's close enough to get the idea.

Finally, note i didn't do much vertical bending at all... i can still easily slide a piece of paper between the wire and the shellplate; the wire doesn't drag along the surface as the plate rotates. The only place the wire contacts the shellplate is where it is secured by the hex nut in the middle.

In addition, i did NOT bend the wire at all in the two 90-degree bends (where it connects to the ram, and then comes up over the shellplate). All the bends were perpendicular to the face of the shellplate.

Hope this helps.
