It's also just about the only on line source for canned meats and butter too, seem's like everyone want's to sell freeze dried and dehydryhydrated food's but avoid's long term canned dairy products and such. Pretty clever post 'Slick, I researched this subject in depth a short time ago working on an article.

I love good jerky.
Only found one good jerky, though, and now I can't find it again.
It's like peanut butter, though. In theory, it would be a great prep food.
In practice, it doesn't, because I love good jerky. And peanut butter.
And it always seems to be the only thing that will do at two in the morning...

agreed jerky has a very short shelf life. approximately as long as it takes my kid to find it..
still, IF you had a LOT of it, i think that the tasty aspect would wear off after a while.. not sure how many tons it would take. ;)

we do the jerky(venision ) ourself put in the foodsaver bags(vacuum) and it will store in the freezer easily for 2+ years,
also canned our venision (taste like the dinty moores type stew, very good) really pretty simple too , hey thats how the old folks did it forever, we used to have an Indian in a hunting club a few years back and he would show up with 2 big coolers full of salt (not really sure what kind??) and when he would get a deer he would dress it out and pack it in the salt and it kept fine, would not mind learning that method myself????

They have canned butter and cheese. Powdered eggs and milk also. Everytime I order from them, it is shipped in a timely manner and is well packed. Never had a problem. They also have good prices on individual MRE entrees (w/free heater included) if you feel like eating that stuff.
If you use the promo code "Warrifles" you get a 21% discount on your entire purchase. I used this last month and it was still good. It's from Warrifles.com group buy.

Used MREDepot too a couple of times. Excellent service. Can't abide Warrifles though! Got ripped off and insulted by the site owner AFTER I had just paid to be a site supporter so I could get in a an MREDepot group buy. Go figure the minds of some of these operators!
