I traded one of my Sig P6 pistols and $100 yesterday for a LNIB Sig 226R .40 cal that has 150 rounds through it. A friend bought the 226 new for just over $700 and now it's mine for a total of only $420.
Not bad.

Hell no. Why shoot .40 when God invented .45?

God's great grandfather invented 45. God invented the forty.

Even the devine make mistakes.
Find me a Chicago Typewriter chambered in .40, need I say more?

The .40 ain't all that bad. I've yet to point my .40 at a person only to have him say, "Hey, is that only a .40? Man, I'm leaving because you're embarrassing me."
But I am glad you are a Thompson fan. Best gun ever made.

Yeah, I'll have to give you that. If were a 9mm, I bet he'd start laughing. ;)
You know me, no ARs allowed in the house, got the Garand, Springfield and plenty of Carbines. I don't own a modern long gun (unless I got one I forgot about).

I'll let you try out a couple of .40s the next time you're at the range.
I've got the Sig, an HK, and I reckon we can knock the dust off the G27.

I'm going to nail down a definative schedule this weekend with the PM. The project is supposed to take a different direction next week, we'll see what that means. Talking about 5s and 2s, which will be welcome news.
I may have to go home again, so I'll be coming back up your way. I think I told you I was going home to take care of a small crisis, no sooner do I get home and fix one crisis than another one surfaces (old man collapsed Saturday night, a few hours after I got in from GA).
Hopefully I can sneak a few hours of shooting in somewhere. Regardless of schedule, I'll have to run the "goodies" up to you.

I took it to the range the other morning and it shoots like a dream.
It's a keeper.

Cool beans. I might have to try it, even though .40 sucks.

If Sig makes it then it has to be good.
