Anybody ever use SRB-118??? I bought 8 lbs of it real cheap....label says "Accurate Arms xx, McEwen, TN" but another sticker on the bottle says "Product of the Czech Republic".
Appears to be for rifle loads since the label gives data for .223, .308, 30/30, and 30-06....
I'd like to use it and I guess its OK...just wondering if anyones had any experience with it ????

How cheap? Should it say CRB-118?

He wanted $15.00 for the 8 lb jug....he didn't know what it was either and was afraid to use it...It definitely says "SRB-118" on the label..and right above that is "Data Powder"..
I called Accurate last year and they said by the date code it was definitely fine to shoot but the guy said he did not have any loading data for that powder...he did recognize the name though..
It looks a little like "Titegroup" but the grains are larger and a little thicker...
The label calls for 27 grains under a 69 gr FMJ for .223...so I'm thinking its kind of slow burning...I was hoping it could be used for 9mm pistol loads but not having a starting point I'm a little hesitant to try...

PP: Any powder that has book/label data for .223 aint gonna work for squat in a 9mm. That's a hell of a score though, for $15 I'd have bought it too.
Now find a reloader in your area that loads 223 and make a trade!

Looks like maybe in the BL(C)-2 to H380 range - probably no good for 9mm, but like Koski said, you should be able to trade it if you don't have any rifle cal's that could use it. :seeya:

Now that you say it, 8 lb on a manhole would be worth $15 just for the "oooh, aaah" factor!

Data(acquired by Accurate) brought a bunch to the States in the 90s, sold by Wideners and others. I would guess that an infinite supply dried up or got more expensive than the market would bear at the time. Think I paid $40 or $50 for 8lbs. delivered. Or somethin'...

I had some old 2200 data powder from Accurate Arms that i got at a gun show back in the 90.s' Burned okay. A bit dirty in a Ar, but not too bad in a Mini 14 i recall. The seller even gave a little reloading data folder thing. I wouldn't trust it with what ya' got tho. Unless anyone can prove they are the same data powder with just a different name for the Country it be at/from.
