Obviously you like them, or you like dumping a lot of money to experiment, so this is probably a stupid question but...how do you like the 147gr in 9mm? I haven't gone past 124gr in my "experiments".

Duh!

Now i recall why you sent me 3 way back when.

Got one on the remaining 550 and i think JJB has one with the 550 that moved south during the winter.
Other one is to be around here somewhere.

Only 4 of those boxes are the 147s. Haven't ever loaded the zero 147s, but liked about every other 147 I have tried. I'll admit it was a impulse purchase to hit the 10k break.

Really like the 124 fmjs and needed to build up the reserves some.

Real reason for the order is I realized how short a shelf life 230g FMJs have when a mac is in the house.

Why don't you tell her the new FRB rules require her to carry and stack the boxes in your reloading room? Might be a crisp dollar bill in her future if she does a good job.

You can't tip the postwomen, that's what mine tells me. It's a shame, she's pretty hot for a blonde, wouldn't mind giving her a few singles.

My carrier has a tip jar on the dashboard of his truck, he clears his throat and looks at the jar when I come near. I'd be happy to have the PO person carry them to my basement and stack them, when I get big orders it takes me almost a week to get them put away.

i use hand trucks to haul them around from the front porch, porch is fine.

I originally posted couple weeks back that I ordered them as "bench ballast", so I stacked them in after I took that pic. I expect one day soon I'll open the door to find one or more of the shelves collapsed before i make a dent in them.

We seem to have such high turnover in postpeople, garbage people, paper delivery people, ups/fed ex people that you never really get a chance to know any of them.

I do know that the new postman could not deliver some of the mail to the right address if his life depended on it. I can always tell when he has a bullet order for me though, as he backs his truck up as close as he can get to the front door then makes a lot of grunting sounds as he carries the boxes from his rig and drops them from waist height onto the porch.

Then there is the new fedex driver who delivered my large order of powder and primers to the neighbors house and just left it on his front porch last month. Even though we live in a somewhat secluded area I still try and maintain a low profile with regards to my shooting hobby. After 22 years my cover has been blown.

Neighbor comes over and says, "are you missing a bunch of gun powder?...". Of course this box has all the evil dangerous warning stickers on it. As we are walking over to his house so I can retrieve the big box he asks the inevitable question, "what do you do with all this gun powder?..."

A couple years ago I sent a priority mail FRB to 387 something street...

The correct address was 378 something street.

3 weeks later my box was returned saying "wrong address." I wondered if it was physically impossible to tell that "Bob Jones 387 something street" could be a mistake, and that the postal worker could take a big risk and deliver it to the Bob Jones at 378 something street.

I mean 387 and 378 have to be within 10 yards of eachother. How many Bob Jones live on one street? Is there a basic mental function test prior to hiring?

I was not happy about this.

I've been more fortunate in that dept.

I've lived here for 22years and about a year ago got only my 3rd postal delivery person, the lady. She's ok, delivers to my office too. Next time I'll have it sent there & tell her when i have something coming, to just drop it in my truck in the lot.

previous one saw my shooting catalogs and orders and started asking questions. At first i was leary but it ends up he is a gun dood too, i end up fixing his FAL for him. I even went shooting with him once before he retired.

Before Kent I had Earl, the father of one of my high school girlfriends- a hot one with hormones run wild. Knew him & the mrs pretty well back when.....
