Nice as a research toy, but just so profoundly WRONG.

Best way to water cool a AR is to tie it to a cinder block and drop it off the stern, in about 300 feet of water.
Come to think of it, that's probably the best thing you could do with an AR also.

Why? Why? Looks like somebody F-d up a perfectly good AR...........Anybody else notice the mag?

Just think of how many rounds he must fire at a time to need a water-cooled barrel. Even if he reloads, that is quite a bit of reloading time and component money per range trip. If he buys commercial ammo? I don't even want to think of that bill.

I think it looks kinda cool, pointless, but cool. It looks like the only thing was modified was the grip. I bet if you took off the trigger mech. and water jacket, and slap some handguards on it, it would just be another AR.

Just goes to show if there is a will there is a way.
And to think, I thought my Heavy Barrel would be enough to keep the gun from getting to hot.
He probably has a rock chucker to make his ammo.
If it is full Auto it might be kind of cool.
By the way what is wrong with the mags?

Well if it was belt fed that's one thing...but ,what is that about a 100 round mag? those aren't cheap just by themselves............He'd have to have a bunch of them ready to go........but like was said I'd hate to pay for the ammo for it..

A 100 rd mag dump through an AR heats up the gun very fast in FA.

JJB, what happens when you wire a softstart motor as a soft brake, wire the first brake line to the first leg of the 480? Same thing.

True enough...just a quick 30 through a semi will make it pretty warm....to each his own I suppose.
