What all calibers are AR's chambered in? I really want a .45 acp AR, but lately have been thinking about a 9mm.....thinking about getting a couple of lowers before the year is out. RRA has a 9mm carbine that I keep looking at. Does anybody have anything like that and if you do, how do you like it?

I have a buddy that has been kicking around putting one together in 50 Beo for quite some time. He even got it onto the state DNR's list of approved pistol calibers to hunt deer with.

I have laid the hurt to bowling pins with an AR rifle in 50 Beo. I would love to try it on an AR pistol platform.

I'm thinking a 9mm AR would be just a ton of fun to shoot............like a big ole .22..

I bet that 9mm coming out of long barrel would be as effective as many rifles under 100yds.
You could shoot all day and not worry about the brass or your pocket book. hmmm I like that idea. I've seen the lowers but never gave it much thought. -that purest attitude thing.
btw: I've seen 22LR, 9, 40, 45, 223, 6.5, 6.8, 308, & 50 beo. I would like to see a 10mm, and 50AE. I'm sure there's many possibilities with a reamer, and barrel blank.

9mm ARs are the only pistol conversion with the last round bolt hold open feature. I'm slowy piecing one together. It's gonna be fun. They are very quiet in comparison to a 5.56

Be even quieter as a SBR with a suppressor...................Thats what I'm thinking about. I want to get a lower first and start from there. RRA has a new lower that has a built in magwell specifically made for a 9mm AR instead of converting one....I believe it takes converted UZI mags but I may be mistaken......All the mall ninjas will be envious...would be a little house clearing sonofabitch.......a ton of fun and cool as hell.

If you want a subgun, do it right and just get an UZI.

i have a RR AR in 9mm and a beretta cx4 in 9mm. i got the beretta first and used it in USPSA carbine class. the the AR guys were kicking my ass at the match mostly on reload speed with two mags taped together. i ordered the RR last year with flat top free float tube and gas block. got it when the season ended, took over 4 months to come in. added an EO Tech to it and used it all year.

I have a RRA 9mm SBR 10.5 barrel and a Gemtech can. Topped with an eotech. It is fun and not real expensive to shoot. Especially compared to 45 ACP. Plus you can use it at most indoor ranges.
On mags I use Colt and C products. No issues.

Good luck

I had a 9mm in a Olympic set up using sten mags was ok, but the RRA setup that the SBR uses is much better.
