I just ran my new 650 last week and the only issues I had were primers hanging in the feed tube. I think there is a burr between the brass cap and the tube. The proper way to deburr would be to take apart and chamfer the brass a little and skim a little from the tube ID. I dont know how tight these are pressed on and will call Dillon. I dont want to hang weight on the low primer rod, as stories floating around about the dangers of primer feed tubes. Any thoughts on this? Anyone same problem? I like to tinker so modifying is not a problem.

No Dillon guys around here?
bunches of them, theyre just distracted right now.

i've not experienced the issue you describe, so i can't help you..

you might post whether it is the large or small tube, in case that makes a difference.

Mogollon should be along shortly, he is the Dillon man, literally, and will take care of you of he can't prescribe a fix

I have a LnL AP, but I bought some Dillon large pickup tubes. I love the way they pick up the primers.

They are much easier to use than the Hornady pickup tubes that I have - BUT the last few primers I pick up seem to get hung up in the tube, in or near the green plastic pickup end of the tube.

Never had this problem with the Hornady pickup tubes - they are a lot tighter on the pickup - which is more tiring - but they have never had a sticking problem. :seeya:

I had a few primers hang up in my pickup tubes (I don't use them as pickup tubes; thank GAWD for the Vibra-Prime!!), when I first started loading with my 650. I do remember that some brands were more prone to stick than others. I don't recall that I ever had any primers stick in the feed tube.

Dillon will send you a new feed tube, free.

ddeaton,
First try pushing a small cloth cleaning patch wet with alcohol through the tube. Then drop a primer shiny side down through the tube, see if it freely exits. If it doesn't, phone Dillon for a replacement.:blues:
