Hornady LNL AP: Which PTX? (Powder Through eXpander)

Hey guys!! Good to be in good company again!! :)

I received my LNL AP yesterday!! :party: I also received a Lee 4-die set for .40s&w. As far as I can tell, the Lee PTX won't work with the Hornady case activated powder drop. Is this correct? If so, what's my best option for a PTX that will be compatible with the powder drop?

(I'd prefer to charge & expand in the same station so I can use a powder check die.)

Hornady makes their own PTX; i ordered mine directly from Karen @ Hornady. It was about $12 or so. However, the part is/was on back-order and i haven't received it yet. I've read it can be twitchy with lead bullets, but have no experience one way or the other (though i trust the people that have said it).

It seems that somewhere i saw someone using a Lee PTX with their LNL... can't remember the link though. Perhaps someone knows where that page is...

In the meantime, I'm just using Station 2 to flare the case. Just like you, I plan to powder check in Station 3 once i can use a PTX... until then, the check die is in the box awaiting the call for duty. ;)
