A fraction of yesterday's labor. The bulk of what I casted was bottoming my car out when I hit low spots in the gravel, so I had to leave some at the shop.

The best part is that the lead is finally dropping evenly and I didn't bust a sheer pin during the entire run.

They are approx 415 grains apiece.

Those are the 45/70 boolits? I got Mountain Molds cutting me a 530gr.

I been thinking of getting into owning a 45-70. Of course, I'd load my own ammo.

Let's see, 415gr a piece, times a whole bunch, carry the one...that right there is a metric crapload of lead! Kinda flimsy looking bucket to be carrying all that weight in, it holding up alright?

I fill the buckets just under 1/3 full and they become almost carryable. I've had a couple of handles give out on me and spent time playing pick up sticks. The worst was the 32 caliber.
